No 2. Forbury Place was the final piece of the new Forbury estate in Reading. Forbury Place is a newly developed business hub that has transformed the area, attracting global companies to occupy the new offices.

One of the key points for this newly developed building was a sustainable and contemporary environment. A new location offering an exceptional quality of working life, with its situation so close to land and greenery plus it’s cultural and leisure benefits, making this development a beacon of creative inspiration.

The demand for green credentials meant Dolphin had a chance to really implement a washroom design that would be innovative, sustainable and economic.

We worked closely with Aukett Swanke architects to specify a variety of ‘Superloo’ washrooms. A ‘Superloo’ washroom is where the wash space and cubicle are all in one, which is especially great for a more private, comfortable experience. Other larger, communal washrooms featured bespoke designed Alavo and Corian Troughs, the Corian finish was a marble effect that was accentuated by the matte mauve panel splash back. The strip and panel lighting on the ALAVO mirror in simple white LED just finished the whole look off.

Rather than hiding the taps behind the mirror, they chose our DBL425 panel mounted infrared tap which complimented the backdrop of the wash wall nicely.

To continue the minimalist look in the washroom they opted for under counter bins with etched in bin rings so that paper towels could be disposed of straight away at the hand wash area, making for simple and pleasurable use and ease of maintenance.
