Elsley House is a 66,900 sq. ft. contemporary office building comprising seven floors, located just off London’s Oxford Circus. The property was originally constructed in the 1930s for the garment industry and was refurbished in 2009.

The building required high quality washrooms that were inspirational as well as compliant. They needed products that could inspire as well as cater for all types of user, whilst complementing the art deco design of the original building and its contemporary interior. Dolphin Solutions supported Burwell Deakins Architects and Stevens Services West End to create a very functional, outstanding washroom. Bevan Hancock, Project Manager at Elev8 was an excellent support throughout the project.

Modern design and sustainable technology

Dolphin’s Behind Mirror Paper Towel Dispenser (BC9288BM) and Behind Mirror Soap Dispenser (DP1504) were an ideal solution for this washroom, while being a pleasure for visitors to use. Expertly designed to save space and improve sustainability, this hand wash system is also easy for cleaning operatives to maintain and replenish, which makes it great for high footfall locations. Installing the paper towel dispenser behind the mirror avoids cluttering the washroom with dispensers and helps to keep all excess water on the vanity unit, preventing water mess on the floor, which could cause a slip hazard.

Touch Free Electronic Infrared Taps (DB125C-STL) were a cutting edge addition to the washroom. Our infrared taps help meet sustainability goals and are listed on the Government’s Water Technology List, flow rates well below 2 litres/minute can also be included if required. They offered the washroom a streamlined look with a modern matte black finish, other RAL colours and PVD copper, brass and bronze are also available. In addition, the hygiene flush feature almost eliminates any risk of legionella and dry taps.

Stainless Steel high quality finish

Dolphin’s Double Toilet Roll Holder (BC271-2), Toilet Brush Set (BC9387) and Waste Trap (DB795C), Soap Dispenser (BC360), in stainless steel enabled a sleek look with a quality feel thanks to their smart finish.

Dolphin Ease

Stainless Steel Hinged Support Rails (BC5083-06) and Stainless Steel Grab Rails 600mm (BC5083-02) were installed to support any users with physical disabilities. These support rails have the correct LRV value for the washroom, giving a feel of luxury and style while complying with Document M.
